With more than 50 years of experience in the transportation, moving and storage fields, Metropolitan initiated operations in the 1940's as a local mover in Martinez, California. In 1963, Metropolitan became an agent for Atlas Van Lines and moved into the Interstate and International markets.

Metropolitan continuously holds the highest warehouse rating awarded by Atlas Van Lines. Our rating is perfect 5.0. Metropolitan has been an Atlas agent for 40 years. In addition, Metropolitan has achieved the "Atlas Superior Packing Award" for several years, and maintains a much lower claims ratio than the industry average.
